History
The Madison County Record was established in 1967 and serves one of Alabama's fastest growing areas.

Madison County is located in north Alabama and is home to the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center and several major high-tech companies. The city of Madison is one of the fastest-growing areas in the state and offers excellent schools and quality of life.

In 2002, 2004 and 2007, the Madison County Record was named the Most Improved Small Weekly newspaper in the Alabama Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest. The paper was also named one of the top three small weeklies in the state in 2004.
